Fall Festival 2008
4th Annual Powell River Festival of Writers Fall Fest

The Fall Fest is a booster shot part way through the year that sets writers up for productive writing. This quick, inexpensive one day workshop is always loaded with valuable information. More than that it gives us a chance to hang out with our peers, with people who understand the highs and lows and don’t think we’re crazy for pursuing writing.

This fall is no different. We are bringing in a poet who will teach us not just poetry but how to use “Poetry As A Writing Skill.” Name to TBA when we find this special person. The afternoon session “Taking the Fear Out of Publishing” will feature successful self-published author’s Wayne Lutz and Barb Rees sharing their experiences. The most important part of any writing is to get it edited properly and that’s where Jena Lohrbach comes in. She will show us what we should look for when self-editing and in hiring an editor. A surprise guest publisher will round out the afternoon.

Whether you are new to the world of writing or have many years behind you, join us for an exciting and encouraging day Nov. 1, 2008. Call Barb for further information or to volunteer: 604-485-2732 or Toll Free: 1-866-373-2607
